Montana | We will soon precondition Steers and will implant with a second Synovex implant. Is it better to give the steer calves the C or the S? I want all the good I can get and really want it to benefit the feeder as much as possible. I have had a feeder friend tell me that our cattle seem to very well on gain, as much or more as cattle that get their first implant at the feedlot. I think the really good gains come because they are carefully given shots and the feeder seldom has to pull a sick one. Vista once, seems to be a very important part of our calf vaccinations and our preconditioning shots but it is a pain to mix and I really do not like that huge goofy mixing needle. We use a syringe to take it from plastic to glass and back to plastic bottle. | |
