Subject: Estimating corn yield

Morris, Mb.
I have only been growing corn for a couple years and have always struggled with yield estimates. I am just trying to figure out storage. I pulled every 7th cob of three rows to get 9 ears. I hand shelled the ears. The moisture was 24% on the sample. The average weight of grain per cob is .375 lbs. I planted 34,000 seeds but with not great emergence and green snap I am at about 28,500 plants per acre right now. Just wondering what it would calculate out to dry. Is there a chart somewhere to figure that? This would be about 30 miles north of the North Dakota/Minnesota/Canada border if that makes a difference. Thanks.
