Subject: European Chaffer

This summer had my first encounter with european chaffer. The field was planted to a grass mixture out of hay (sounds wierd, but very short of hay last year) and come this spring they had wiped out about 50 percent of the stand. In desperation went back in with annual rye grass, and they would not let it establish. Have since sprayed the field with round-up and are planning to go in with corn next spring, and are just wondering what my options are for control. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
