East Central, Nebraska | that is exactly what i do myself and would recommend. this is likely not a big issue but if utilizing steering your terrain compensation module will likely be in the cab. if it is a suspended cab i would think it is absolutely important to get this thing on the roof instead of the bin. i have a very large bin extension on my combine and have never had an issue with blocking the gps antenna. up until this year i was also only tracking gps sats and only running 5-7 sats at any given time. if your using an agleader gps and it is a 6500 your likely going to be tracking glonass also which will further ensure you will not have a lack of sats problem because of the bin maybe blocking your view to the sky. your experience may differ from mine though.
