Farm in WC Iowa | Gene
I’ve had two uncles near your age that have had the shoulder surgery. They both have returned to farming activities with minimal changes.
No overhead lifting or pushing of items would be expected.
One of them said he though most of his damage to his shoulder was from years of putting on rubber over boots. He also just got his first knee done two weeks ago. I’m not sure how that is going to effect his farming activity. My father planted his beans for him this year because my uncle didn’t think his knees would last getting in and out of the tractor. I’d suspect We’ll get to help him with some corn harvest if We get the free time. (A different uncle and cousin usually plant his corn and combine his beans)
My recommendation is to follow the aftercare therapy as closely as you can. That will dictate a lot of the lasting results.
Best of luck | |
