Subject: RE: Lunch ideas

I'm so tired of sandwiches. I pack a small cooler with celery, carrots, broccoli or cauliflower in the winter with some ranch dressing, cheese sticks and sliced up summer sausage. Oh, and Costco sells hummus in these little snack cups. It's just milled up chick peas, tastes good and is a great protein source.

That's my winter lunch. Right now the garden is producing so I eat whatever is ripe. Oh! Potato salad. We make it heavy to eggs with our home canned pickles. When I can get the wife to make it, that's a great quick breakfast or lunch.

One issue is our bodies know when they are fed nourishing food. That's why potatoes if you can work them in go so far.

We also grow wheat and mill it fresh. Bake and cook with it. Amazing how just about anything made with fresh milled whole wheat will sustain you for hours.
