Pierce county WI | So, after reading everyone's opinion on bats, I decided to give them a chance to leave. It didn't go smoothly.......... And the guys who wanted to see the house, motivated me a little. Saturday, I finished a tile project and I grabbed the 4010 with 158 loader, a couple ladders, the pressure washer, then got to painting the bad looking spot on the house. Can't wait to get time to paint more, and get new windows! In the pictures you can see how I dressed for bat interaction.......... I sprayed ammonia and threw mothballs around the floor. I tried to hammer staple them to the rafters, but had a misstep! With the snowmobile helmet on top of my hooded sweatshirt in an attic on a day in the upper 80s, my balance got a little out of tune. There's no floor, so I'm trying to walk on rafters in between insulation. I missed my footing, and over reacted on the next step. I put my leg right through the ceiling in my daughter's room! So, I had some sheetrock, but no good mud, so off to Menard's to pick some up when I got paint for the house. I also put up a plug in rodent deterrent to hopefully make them not want to be there. I'll spray again later this week. We also put a bat box up in a tree near to the house, so hopefully they will move there!
