Central Iowa | Going to more acres of strip-till COC in 2019. I'm struggling with my early season N program. Base N of 100-120 lbs will be fall applied NH3 to build strips. I've got the capability to apply in-furrow starter and putting N on 2x0 on the planter is an option I'm looking at. Biggest concern is getting corn fed from VE until V5 or so until it gets into the base NH3 band. Wondering if N on the planter 2x0 will produce enough ROI to justify the hassle? TIA | |
