WC MN | For me anything close to $4 cash is good margin as long as I get the yields. We are at the point of the growing season when everyone doubts the USDA numbers. There has been an occasional time where the USDA had to back pedal. Hard to say if this is one of those years. On the contrary, we have global and domestic stocks retreating to a point where supply issues are more sensitive.
If the price of soybeans is not higher come spring, a significant amount of acres may switch to grains and other alternatives. Locally we have a sub $8 cash bid. We can not make it up in quantity at that price. | |
