NEMO
1999 was really bad in my part of Missouri. 10-20 bushel beans and 40 bushel corn.

2012 was worse on the corn (0-25) while the beans received the Labor Day hurricane rain and made 20-30 or better depending on the stage of the bean. Almost seems like the 2012 drought started from the Kansas/Oklahoma drought from the year before and moved northeast from there.

2018 is worse in some ways (for the livestock guys) than 2012 due to the cold April and dry May made for poor grass and hay. But a lot of our corn will be better than 2012 due to enough small showers to keep things alive. Silage checks have come in 60-120. Beans could still be better or worse than 12.

Remember people talking about 87 being bad. Along with some other years in the 80's. As a kid riding on the fender of the 3020 or 4020 and then eventually driving them it seemed like every summer in the 80's was HOT!!!
