Subject: New Straw proposal

Calculations from Dr Joichim Clemens Bonn University from Verbio data show a potential 300 cu meter of Bio Methane production from 1 metric ton of wheat straw. If fresh wheat straw contains 12.5 MMBtu of energy and Dr Clemens Calculations converted to Units of measure we deal with in the USA we might see a 9.61 MMBtu energy converted into Bio Methane, the ballance would leave the digester as straw pulp or humus . NYMEX price $3.00 value of Bio-Methane / Natural Gas substitute x Short ton straw = $28.83 This number would barely harvest and deliver the straw on the 2016 Kansas Customs rate chart at $23.+ . My skepticism of economic sustainability is excessive.

Proposal , Use wheat ag Bio Mass only to make Bio Methane for the soul purpose of mining the energy credit or subsidy (we have yet to get all the credit details, someone knows what Renewable Fuel Standard is being milked here) We have been promised a rainbow but the moisture from the storm appears only to be a passing vapor, morning ground fog burning off or maybe a Dog watering down a fire hydrant.

This proposal is reported to be receiving a subsidy or credit at 20 X the natural gas price to produce Bio Methane from crop residue straw and corn stover . This appears to be a test plant being built in a market that will lose mulitple times expenses versus natural gas price on the board of trade at Hub Henry Louisiana even as a not factored negative basis is applied to the NYMEX trade prices.

metric conversion of the figure 136 GWH requires a multiplier (x 3412.14) to convert the MMBtu as sold at NYMEX Hub Henry pricing
Convert metric ton to short ton 44k t

looks like about $31.64 a short ton on the open market if every dollar recieved at the elevated value of Hub Henry $3 were used as the mulitpier (w/no plant expenses )

We have been unable to receive technical answers from the promoter, no engineer has been available to answer them that we can tell.

GOOD NEWS, during planning and zoning discussions at Sumner County (KS) Zoning Meeting Aug 15 we were invited to visit the plants in Germany by the president of VNAcorp, (not to be confused with Vereinigte Bioenergie AG) to witness first hand the odors and see the efficiency of the plant. I do not know if Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG knows yet the the President of VNAcorp just made a open invitation to 120+ Americans in an open meeting but I am certain they would love to entertain us none the less since 100-150 million dollars of investment is involved here. But surely we have some German Ag Talk bloggers who would be happy to investigate the plant about 75 Kilometers North East of Berlin at Schwedt Germany and be our Ambassadors .

Or maybe your wife unknowing scheduled you a Viking river cruise up the Danube River and you can convince her there is some quint place you want to visit at Schwedt Germany that reminds you of a fairy tail you once read ? (Rumpelstiltskin ) Ah yes the possibility are endless to turn your late summer early fall 2018 endless working year into a vacation your wife will never forget. This may leave your offspring or grandchildren with a first hand experience of the educational opportunity of a lifetime.

But seriously if anyone in Germany has conducted business with Verbio either selling straw, receiving straw digester byproduct , Humus as they refer to it please pipe in, we would love to know how your experience went.

I have no doubt that Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG in Germany can break wind efficiently as any company in the business, but I am highly skeptical of that wind being economically viable in a land where the couple in the portrait of " American Gothic " may potentially own that south 1/4 section farm that just hit oil but the residual natural gas is to expensive to pipe to the old lady's stove and to cheap to pump in a pipeline , so alas they just put up a pipe and burn it off in a flare of which the only benefit appears to roast large mosquito's and to act as a yard light to a residence 200 + years back in time retold by Brothers Grimm.

At this time we just need someone to do a solid with the facts so that it is possible to make a mathematically calculated business decision for the County residents, I do not have enough fingers and toes to work this out with common core math but with old school math the picture is coming in view
