SE SD | First off, I have no hogs, buildings or experience with hog manure application.
Just an observation, I do notice most of, if not all the applicators are using drag hose in
our area. Both hog and dairy.
The pluses I've heard from the guys haveing manure applied are
Less compaction
Less man power
Less traveling on the roadway
As far as equipment cost differance and matinance, I haven't a clue.
On a side note, if you plan to stretch out a couple miles of hose. It's best if
you are a very likable and friendly person.
