When my grandpa was retirement age, he sold two 80's to two different beginning farmers that were local. I think it was $500 an acre in the late 70's, which was a good deal. Then you have now where I don't even get a chance to rent land across the road from me. Then you have old guys that can't even walk still trying to go, and they have the nerve to call you when they need help and pay you $15/ hour.



that is where he screwed up. he should have kept it and rented to family. you could be farming it today.
