Pros- heavy, very little hay waste, should last many years Cons- have to feed with a tractor, pretty pricey Bextra Feeders May I ask how you load a heavy 5x6 round bale in your Bextra feeders? I tried them a few years ago. Great for saving hay but tried loading/dropping bales in from the top also setting the feeder over a large bales with bale forks. Either way the feeder collapsed/distorted, either from the weight of the bale or the load on the fork. Maybe my bales are just too large for that design. |
