| What it meant to me is that Ag is cyclical and the cycle is going to repeat itself regardless of the exact details that make it happen. Soybean production here in the US has increased every year since 2012. We planted a record 89 million acres of them this year.
South American has and continues to expand at a rapid pace. Partially a result of $18 beans. It was only a matter of time before supply outpaced demand. The tariff situtstuon may have sped it up slightly, but it was coming. Farmers always have overproduced to the point of running prices low enough there is no profit. First it was wheat, then corn......beans? | |
