Not what you asked, and not sure how close to rock hard your ground is but: if you cut a piece if pipe a bit shorter than from the spade to the top of the post, you can push them in some fairly hard ground with a tractor loader ir skid loader. Fill bucket with dirt if you have to. like this idea!!

The pipe keeps the post from bending.
