Subject: EZ Steer T2 Gyros not found


W IL		I bought a ezsteer and ezguide for little to nothing from a friend here a couple months ago. It had sat on a shelf for probably 5 years or more but everything worked when it was put away. I was working on getting it set up and I have been getting a "T2 Gyros Not Found" error message. I have tried plugging it into the 3 pin power plug in the cab and also the cigarette outlet. I just redid the firmware update on the EZ steer box and started having these issues. Is there somewhere in the settings this can be turned on or off?

Can those gyros go bad from just sitting there in a box?
Can wiring it direct fix these issues?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Some of the early ones didn't have the T2 compensation.

W IL		That very well could be the case. Is there any way to use a controller box that does not have t2 with a ez guide 500? Or do I have to have a newer controller box?

Not sure, another thing are you sure the harness connectors are all connected? Seems to me that there was a second power connection in the harness back by the steering controller.

North Dakota		The boxes that have T2 will have a white label on top that tell you which way to face the cables. A non T2 box will only work with an EZ-guide plus.

W IL		I have an EZ Guide Plus I could try using with that box, was hoping it would working with the EZ Guide 500 monitor. I will figure something out. Thanks for the info.

Maybe U could take a look inside if the 2 gyros are there. The cover comes off really easy...

W IL		Ok I wasn't for sure what to look for in there. I will probably do that so i know exactly what i have
