I just got to this thread after missing a few days. I was going to say try resetting TCP/IP, I have to do that on my wife's laptop occasionally. It will say connected, but there is no internet access. BUT as I see you have the issue resolved anyway. Just keep that in mind if something similar happens in the future. There are easy walkthroughs if you do a search.....on something that actually can access the web of course!
