Western, ON | I recommend running power from the battery. Did a re-install for a guy that they got power from closer to the cab and it was “dirty”. That solved a bunch of steering problems he was having. They also were sending the positioning to a PRO600 for yeild monitoring and having troubles with positionin not going to the 600. There was .6 volts difference between the “Clean Ground” for the 600 and the negative termin al on the battery.
Moral of the story: You are playing with sensitive electronics, don’t take shortcuts and it will pay dividends in the future by not causing you headaches.
As to where to run the cables through the above machine was a 6088 and it seems there were some extra holes in the rear RH lower corner of the cab we ran cables through. I know your machine will be a different cab, but look for where other cables go through, there are usually extra openings that you would need to remove a plug, or cut a covering and could use. | |
