jcfarmboy - 8/10/2018 05:59 You can switch the antenna/receiver between machines. I switch our rtk between tractor and combine. Is there a reason that the dealer puts Trimble in for auto steer? Seems like an excuse to charge more....

Our area has a very good Trimble dealer.  The local CIH dealer basically just sends their stuff to him for autosteer.  I'm not sure they have ever even dealt a Pro 700 auto steer system but I'm probably wrong.  The other CIH dealer pushed the FM1000 too so that's how we've all been trained.  I know for certain that I can get a factory system going if I get a CIH Nav controller and 372 receiver but then I'm looking at another $10,000+ and another RTK subscription that only gets used for a month.
