Subject: Re: GSR Calcium

NE Illinois
I have tried it both ways, sugar and no sugar. The friend I sprayed for we used sugar, and Roundup, sprayed around the 4th of July 2 years ago, he loved it, the stuff I used for myself that year, I was not impressed. This year I did one farm with a part rate with the starter fert in row, and then sprayed 1 bag/5acres with sugar right after planting, no chemicals, and left some check areas, and the farm it self yielded good, but looking at the yield map overlay with the spray map, no yield differences. As for the weather, I do not recall if we had rain right after that or not. I did spray some High NRG N with my keystone first, then made a seperate trip with the GSR after rinsing. I also used it with a foliar feed and Durango and sugar, on some beans, and then did some with just the GSR. Again, no significant yield difference, but most beans in our area were not that good, but ours seemed to be maybe better than a lot of guys reported.
