I plugged in the iPad to my computer and was able to see the DCIM folder. I proceeded to download the 2 folders in the DCIM folder. When I looked at the pictures there were a lot of them missing. I could see the pictures on the iPad but they don't transfer. The only folder that is visible on the PC is the DCIM folder and the folders it contains.
Any chance you have it set to upload pictures to iCloud. I have my iPhone set that way so save memory. The base picture is visible and a clock like icon shows in the lower right when I view a picture. As the clock like icon fills in the picture fills in and get clearer as the fine points are downloaded from the cloud. This changes my ability to download them to the PC out of the DCIM folder.
