Subject: RE: Base station questions

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
The Trimble rovers (252, 262, etc) don't have the necessary software to generate RTK correction data like a base station would. Trimble mostly keeps the bases and rovers separate, even though the core hardware (antenna, receiver) is probably the same between a few. I think the 542 might be the exception - I think that model can be configured as either a base or rover.

The MS750 is an older GPS-only model. If all your rovers are Trimble of the same vintage (252, 262, 500) then it would be a good fit for relatively cheap. If you have newer receivers, you should look at something with GLONASS support.

I don't want to turn this into a sales post, but you should e-mail me. I sell NovAtel receivers and have a solution you should at least have a look at. You don't have your e-mail address visible so I can't contact you directly.
