Subject: Base station questions

Hi,

Looking to set up my own rtk base station but I would prefer not to spend a whole heap on it for now, was planning on casting my own ntrip data and using mobile data on 4 tractors to pick it up.

What are good options, I've looked at Trimble 442,432, is a 442 a 432 with glonass? Presumably the benefit of glonass is that I can afford to loose more satellites on the rover before I loose correction?

Also I looked at a ms750, where does that fit in? Good or bad?

I'm not hugely worried about repeatability at the moment year on year but pass to pass I'd like to be decent.

Also I read about using a 332 as a base, does this work? They are pretty cheap in the right place.

Why can't a guy use a tractor receiver as a base? Sorry if it's obvious I have taken the time to fully understand the tech but I was looking at something like a 252 and thinking if I'm connecting to a pic would that work?

Thanks

Matt
