Subject: Re: Ontario Soy Yields

Newfane NY
No these are not normal but I am tring to make the normal. On the recomendation of the man from Diehl Fields seeds we planted the beans way early,on May 6th. His 8311 went 72 bpa whole field. These are an early group 3, most beans here are late 1 or early 2. We also tried 8274 and they made 70 bpa. We also plant alot of Partners Brand seed and I like the PB-2.8 the best. These 2 companies I have come to know thru planting Bird Hybrids. I asked Leon for help with my beans yields and he put me in contact with these two companies. Prior to the last 2 years I was happy with 45 bpa and our farm average was 36. I think our yield increase comes from earlier planting, planting better varieties, better inoculant and just plain taking a better interest in growing better soybeans. John
