Yorkshire UK | It's possible an update has changed it so you now only have hibernate rather than sleep. I have one which can no longer be made to sleep when you want - it only goes to hibernate which takes longer to wake - but if you just leave it running after the prescribed time it sleeps on its own and will wake on any key in seconds. You can go through power options from Control Panel. There's usually something about enable/disable hibernate and sleep, but what you see in advanced options varies with hardware and operating system. Things can be changed by editing the registry but again it's possible some options aren't available in all cases. |
