Not pointing fingers at you or the op by no means but this is the exact reason the shelters are full. Because a breeder will sell a dog to anyone, few months later the owner don't like poo-poo and take it to the shelter. Our local town is having to expand and build different shelter, it is unbelievable how many unwanted dogs there are.
Our dog’s breeder asked a lot of questions and required us to sign a contract that if we couldn’t keep the dog anymore and couldn’t find a suitable home that the dog had to be returned to the breeder.
