I clipped the gussets on inside of the legs of the charge housing that surrounds the vertical auger so I could slide as wide a piece of 11 gauge steel down the front and back slopes as possible. It will cover the small cleanout openings in the sheetmetal but you still have those in the bottom.

The other place that wears out is on the inside flat surface of the charge housing below the floor of the tank. While the augers are out you can bolt some pieces in to cover that area. On the 9500/9600 you can work through the two openings the augers go through after you remove the large plate behind the drive sprockets. Only better time to do it is if you have the vertical auger out for any reason.

I used cardboard to put in there and get the pattern. Had to split the piece in two to have room to rotate it into place. I had predrilled holes in the patches and stuck a cordless drill in there to drill through the original sheetmetal for some bolts to hold it in.
