Subject: John Deere 2640 Roosa master pump problem

Lancaster, Pa
Tractor had no power like was out of fuel changed filter than lift pump still no better. Talked to injection pump shop they said it sounded like the governer band was bad took pump off and had them rebuild. They rebuilt bench tested it and said good to go put back on tractor no better. Called them back they said plugged return line I checked and blew air through it it’s open. Took return line off pump no change took main fuel line off at injection pump when running all kinds of fuel. But when I did this it started to run better meaning it was acting like starving for fuel but when I crack line it throttles up but as soon as I tighten line it hardly runs above an idle. Some how it’s over fueling in my opinion. Called and left message with pump shop this morning and no return call. Got to be something with pump but when I talked to rebuild shop this morning he said it tested and was set on bench test and pump is good. Any thoughts.
