If it is warm and sunny, one should slow the rate of water loss by hydrating and covering the slab. At least, that is what we do when the heat is on out here. You want the slab to set up, not dry out. Those are two different things.

All things being equal, long cool and easy cures are better than dehydration.

I'd wait one week.
