It sounds like the tablet is barely capable of running the now very demanding app.
Possibly your usb cable is involved - try an alternative (data) cable first.
It will help the tablet if nothing else is running, try restarting just before you go.
Then you could look at an older app with less extra stuff loaded on it.
There's a few place online yo can download older versions as it's common for DJI updates to cause problems for some specific devices.
