| I had a 955 for the last 10 years and only used it for planting beans. I went to a 580 new Holland which is the same as a 1200 Case because it was a 16 row with splitter so I could plant corn with it if I wanted and it would match my corn head. They are basically the same row units but the 955 has a more consistent seeding depth in no-till corn stalks and cover crops on the wings since you have more weight out to the ends. We have ran both in standing corn stalks and 5ft high cereal rye without them plugging. If anyone is interested in the 955 I have it posted in the classifieds. | |
