Just a side note Dave, even tho our soils are high in K by a soil test, they really respond well to adden k when applyed. Most of our K is tied up with higher PH soils, and the use of Gypsum and manure is the only way we can get it to releace so the plants can use it. Iv done a lot of experimenting with different types of Fertilizer. The best results Iv had are using a 7-14-7-04 along with a 100 ton of manure to the acer. Just another thing iv quit using is all the trace elements that have been recommended over the years. IMO I really havent seen the results from them that was promised. I do put some zink in with the liguid fertizar at planting so I think I get some carry over from that.
