Panhandle of Ne. | Mike, really hate to see that. I've seen this question posted on here a lot the last few weeks. Lots of varying opinions of amount of damage and prospects of final outcome of the corn.
I don't know if you would be interested in doing this, but, to help folks answer these type of questions with a little further knowledge, I wish you would pick a spot, count off 17' 6", or 1/1000th of an acre and take a pic of that spot and every 2 weeks for a period of time take pics and post them and just see exactly what percentage of the stalks will tie up, come out or just give up.
I am not as optimistic as some of the other posters. I believe that a lot of the tops will tie up the stalk and prevent it from regrowing properly. Plus, I believe there will be some stand loss from bruised stalks.
