Northwest Illinois | I run a sunflower 6631 at an angle in the fall to make strips in the spring. I do this because I’m only running a 5310 Case IH toolbar that is not as aggressive as others on the market. I run yetter devastators on 612 non chopping corn head. My stalks are longer than I’d like. For the fall of ‘17 ran rebuilt rolls from b and r welding. I feel like they will last long but don’t do the best on the stalks. Looking at going to calmers or new deere rolls. My fields are irrrigated as well. I never plugged up with my toolbar this spring. This is just the way I do it. Not dying it’s the only way to go.
