Subject: RE: How much 32% is to much

Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
I don't believe it is possible to burn corn when running nitrogen through a pivot. The ratio of nitrogen tp water is very low.
Most of our wells are in the 700 gallon range. I like putting on 35-40# of N each pass. I usually run my injection pumps at 90-100 gallons/hour to make a circle in 12-16 hours so I am running at 80-90% on most of the pivots.
We used to run a pivot that just had a 300 gallon well. Would do the same thing time wise but the volume of water was less than half as much...never had a problem.
