Figure out what you could of gotten for your corn by selling the july when you bought it plus the basis appreciation from when you sold physical until now. When you find out the difference between what you ended up getting for your corn and what you could of gotten you will see how fast a bin will pay for itself.
Between dad and I we've hauled corn to town in the fall I think three times in sixty three years of farming. Can't justify a bin for that frequency I don't think.
Of course two of those times was '16 and '17, maybe yields will hold at those levels, who knows.
