Buying land at ten thousand an acre to return a net of $200 and taking 50 years to pay just principle back seems like a piss poor investment to me. Especially when it could be appraised at $5000 an acre any time. You're spot on Hog. The lad down below that says there was never a right time doesn't realize just how long never is. Or ever, for that matter. I wonder if if a thousand acres bought between '86-88 for $400-500 acre for north Iowa land was cheap enough? These guys that think the past can't become the present again havn't lived long enough. It can and it will, someday. Which can be along time also, but a lot shorter than never. |
