It is kind of interesting that the Chinese responded immediately to the first tariffs and threatened to respond tit for tat if we escalated this thing any further. Donald immediately doubled down and called their bluff. So far just cricket noises out of China.So using a poker analogy, is China bluffing with a 4, 9 off suit? Does Donald have a pair of Jacks? The time to respond makes me think the Chinese are carefully weighing their options. Love him or hate him, the thing that makes Donald an effective negotiator is his unpredictability. I'm sure the Chinese equivalent of the F-bomb has been uttered by many high ranking Chinese officials this week.

I need to stock up on popcorn.
