| Any slippage will surely go their way. Personally, I like being able to sell smaller increments at times too, as opposed to just working with 5,000 bushel lots. Especially since I've been known to have 50% or more production in the contract, with a bull spread to lock in carry beneath in case I can't meet so the bushels. Elevator has a broker that trades the spread trade for me with the understanding of what I'm doing, don't think they'd go for it otherwise. Helps that the grain manager is a good friend and knows I understand and manage the risk. | |
