Tedding it back out is a much lighter, less power and fuel intensive alternative to chopping. It allows the next crop to grow through and eventually disappears. Run the tedder at high rpm with a smaller FWA tractor. Gives a fairly uniform distribution.



It is a lot less likely to end up in the next cutting if chopped.
