The airport here was built for jet airliners, but when they were supposed to have a B52 on display for the air show several years ago the Air Force opted not to land it because the wings would overhang the runway about 10 ft. on each side. They didn't want to risk damage from dirt & gravel kicked up by the wings, so they just did several flybys. A couple of slow ones, then a 600 MPH pass 10 ft. off the ground is pretty damned impressive in its own right...hell of an airplane.
