My wife wants a bunch of fresh peas out of the truck when the pea-viners arrive. What should one do to store them?? I figured just wash them and freeze, her mother said clean and then boil them for 1 or 2 minutes before pulling them out and freezing them. What is the correct way to do it??
Steam blanch washed peas and then cool quickly in cold water. Then freeze. |
