Kingston,Mi
It is Michigan's version of Gatlinburg and all the other tourist traps. Bronners is the worlds largest Christmas store and a few miles south just before you turn west on to Birch Run and the interstate is a wildlife part on about 40 acres. There is a Bavarian theme mall on the south bank of the river with kite shops, fudge shops and more ways to liberate money from dear old dad. The wooden bridge was installed in the late 70's or early 80s by a crew from New England, it is free to cross and it connects to outlets on to side streets/roads. Everyone should go at least once so it can be checked of your bucket list.

Interesting factoid, the little village of Gera has the closest railroad and a decent sized elevator, when the railroads were be laid out, Frankemuth was considered but turned it down and it was built thru Gera instead. The town fathers didn't want their girls running away with those dashing railroad workers.

There are four villages settled by the same sect of Bavarian Lutherans, Frankemuth, Frankentrost, Frankenhilf and Frankenlust, Frankenhilf is now Richville and Frankenlust is now Munger.

Edit: I have mis-identified Frankelust, it is not Munger.
