Ah, the good deep purple ones, that tree was good. We had a huge one, wind storms took it, I imagine it was about run through its course anyhow.

We have some tiny white ones in the grove, not worth anything, and some red ones, they are ok but small and harsh compared to that one tree of purple.

Mom really like the mulberries, not that she used them a lot, but they came ripe the same time as her strawberries, and the birds hardly never bothered her berries as itwad mich safer for them to sit in the tree and eat than on the ground in the garden.

I'm sure many are saying what a miserable weed tree, and they are right on that too. But a good big purple mulberry is a good tastey thing.
