Most cookies are good as with those that keep your login info. Many are tracking you, the ad trackers. Some are kinda bad, as they can be set to mess with you a little and redirect you to bad sites and so forth.
For some reason, your cookies are getting erased. There are settings in the browser that will clear out all cookies whenever you shut down the broswer, and so forth. Higher security settings will clear out the cookies pretty often.
