Subject: RE: Raven 440 boom cal question

Boom cal is only the number of inches for that section of the boom. Measure center to center with a tape to get the right number of inches. All the boom cal numbers together should add up to your sprayer width. It sounds like that button is not bringing up the right screen. What happens if you push enter after it comes up ? The only time the cal # on that section would make that section spray less would be if it was the only one on. Otherwise with all sections on they should all have same pressure, the raven puts out galllons per acre on total sprayer width. If there is a flow restriction to any part of the booms, more will go where there is less restriction. Do you have strainers on each section, are hoses same size, tips all equal and clean. Length differences in hoses will cause less flow to go through the longer hoses. Just like the flow from a garden hose drops every time you add more hose.
