We had a brown box in an autotrack ready 7930 and now use it in our 8270R. I see no reason it wouldn’t work in your 8330 though you may need another box that mounts outside the cab. I wasn’t there when they added it to the 7930, I just remember something about an additional box. When we did ours the local dealer had a good buy on used boxes, new globe, wiring harness, and install.

The brown box is okay and a good way to get into gps guidance but also take a look into the 1800. The 1800 adds a lot of features, picks up and holds the line better when turning around on headlands, and doesn’t cost that much more.
