It's easy to blame the GeoSteer on that but if I were troubleshooting it I would try to see what the GPS status was right after the signal dropped. It may be the GeoSteer, or it may be your Digistar beacon connection. The GeoSteer is only using the info from the beacon it isn't responsible for the beacon to internet side of it.
Make sure all of the settings to make both systems are right and try to capture the Differential status right after a loss when it happens, will tell you a lot of what the issue is.
