| Bit of a head slapper! After leaving it alone for a few days, I came back to it and took a fresh look at things. A 4430 has a small door on the lower right hand side of the cab, figured that's a great place to run the wire down to the battery. I looked and I thought.....hey, that's one of two six volt batteries hooked up in series. Took my simple light circuit tester and it glowed a little dimly. Went to the other side and put it on the live starter terminal and it nearly blinded me! Hooked the bigger gauge wire to that and voila! it works just fine! Ya'll were steering me right, I was just hooking to the wrong side! Thanks for your help! | |
